Welcome back, we missed you!

Exactly a year ago we were getting ready to re-open our cellar door post the long lock-down… and here we go again! The silver lining for us from the 2021 snap lock-down was the perfect late Autumn weather. James and Linda have made great progress pruning the vineyard, supervised by Archie our Westie and his mate Frankie.

Queen’s Birthday Weekend

The cellar door will be open from Saturday 12 June:

  • 11am to 5pm for Wine Tastings, Sales and Casual Drinks
  • Noon to 3pm for Lunch

Bookings are recommended and can be made HERE
Please note maximum group size is 6 people

Lunch in The Larder can be enjoyed by the fire in the winery, under the heaters on the deck if it is cold – or rugged-up in the Winter sunshine.

Winter Wine Weekend!

The 2021 Winter Wine Weekend was postponed due to the snap lock-down. James and Linda will now be pouring Main Ridge Estate wines at the Red Hill Showground pavilion on Saturday 24 July. For the opportunity to experience over 200 Mornington Peninsula wines from 45 wineries, accompanied by fine food from leading local restaurants.

Wine community unites for a good cause

Our good friend David Lloyd of Eldridge Estate was in Peter MacCallum Hospital being treated for cancer (stage 4 Burkitt’s Lymphoma) during the 2020 vintage. A team of Mornington Peninsula winemakers united to ensure the Eldridge 2020 Pinot Noir was made.

The resulting 5 barrels of ‘Burkitt Blend’ Pinot Noir is described by David as “Incredibly perfumed.. one of those wines you want to just drink-in. It is the first time all our eight Pinot clones have been included in a single wine. This is one of the prettiest Pinot Noirs ever produced from the Eldridge vineyard”.

In recognition of the wonderful (and successful!) treatment he received, David is donating $20 from every bottle sold to the Peter MacCallum Foundation. To order wine click HERE.
