The ‘Old Vine’ Chardonnay is exclusively sourced from our estate vineyard.Main Ridge Estate was founded in 1975 by Nat and Rosalie White. Initially an engineer, Nat gradually cultivated his 7-acre property with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier,Gewürztraminer, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Over time, it became evident that Chardonnay and Pinot Noir would remain the cornerstone of the estate. Since 2015, the Sexton family, led by winemaker James Sexton, has taken stewardship of this vineyard.Situated on a protected, north-facing ridgeline in Red Hill, the now 50-year-old vines yield small quantities of intensely flavored wines. Traditional winemaking techniques are wholeheartedly embraced in the production process.
