We are emerging from our fourth winter – the wettest, windiest and coldest for us so far. Pruning is complete and the land is starting to show life again with bulbous flowers popping-up everywhere.
Following the recent bottling of our 2018 vintage reds we will release them on September 3rd (see details below). After the cold 2017 vintage, 2018 was a return to the familiar warmer conditions we have seen in recent years. With it came richer, fruit driven Pinot Noirs that are currently looking very approachable in their youth. The vineyards capacity to produce strong tannins remains, which will help those with a cellar.
The Half-Acre Pinot Noir has been bottled in magnum format again this year, just 100 numbered bottles. We were honoured and happily surprised by their popularity last year, with nearly all sold in the first week of release. As a result, we have decided to limit these to 1 bottle per customer from now on.
